It is headed to court, however, the judicial approach has to be carefully crafted to keep a standing in the courts. The US Constitution explicitly gives election law to the states. You gotta have a damn good reason, crafted in legally sustainable language covered in volumes of precedence before you challenge that part of the constitution. "Because it's fair! Because it's right!" are not going to do it. Fair and right are not mentioned in the operative clauses. Besides, the courts, though willing to interpret such rights in favor of citizens in cases of gross disenfranchisement in generations past, the courts may not be so inclined now.As usual with such things, the Supremes will decide, and frankly, that's not looking so good.
