The hawkster's advantage when it comes to intelligent design spiel, is that the human mind cannot properly conceive of timescales in the billions of years. Hell, we have problems conceiving of centuries.
That makes it easy to convince the rubes that scientists are wrong when they point to what evolution has achieved in billions of years.
It's like the Indian farmer and the rice grains doubling on the chess board - our brains jump to incorrect conclusions. Easy prey for the carney spiel.

Could there be any greater conceit, than for someone to believe that the universe has to be simple enough for them to be able to understand it ?

From Zenodo's policy page:
Eligible depositors: Anyone may register as user of Zenodo.
There are no policies relating to the content of uploaded documents, other than relating to privacy, copyright and ownership. There's nothing related to content verification or validation. It appears to be there simply to provide a safe storage place for data if the Internet goes down.
Our carney hawkster has found something which he realises he can sell to the rubes. "Look !! It's been accepted by CERN !!!" Wrong, my friend - you've just uploaded it to a secure storage facility which CERN runs but doesn't verify the content of.
(PS link to Zenodo's policy page here: Zenodo )

Here's another paper from Zenodo - this one hawking the benefit of crocs !
Einstein must be kicking himself for not having spotted the scientific importance of crocs !

Could there be any greater conceit, than for someone to believe that the universe has to be simple enough for them to be able to understand it ?

This one's an advert for Maui Jim sunglasses:
To be fair, I looked them up, and some of them are pretty cool.

Could there be any greater conceit, than for someone to believe that the universe has to be simple enough for them to be able to understand it ?

Re: Zenodo?
Once again:
Zenodo is not a publication. It is not a scientific journal. It is effectively a safety deposit box for documents, to protect them from Internet collapse/ransomware. It is run by CERN and is intended to protect scientists' papers/data from those risks. However, access to it is not policed - nor is the content. It contains adverts for sunglasses !
Stop trying to cloak your nonsense in the Emperor's new clothes - we can see right through them to what's underneath, and it's not pleasant to look at.

Re: How to tell?
This is a quotation from one of the uploaded diatribes he links to:
(Sorry, I did not include the whole chapter since it would be too long for you.
Lol! I am lazy to copy, you know. Lol)
Nuff said.

Edgar - take a step back mate. Ask yourself this: if pretty much every scientific expert on the planet disagrees with you (and that's a whole heap of scientists), what are the odds that they're all wrong and it's just you who is right ?
I know that it can feel good to feel you're special and capable of insights that others aren't capable of, but ultimately that's isolating you from social co-operation, kindness and the sort of generosity of spirit that is pretty much mankind's only chance (and a slim one at that) of survival.
You don't need to feel better than everyone else to be worthwhile - just a decent member of Team Humanity.

Could there be any greater conceit, than for someone to believe that the universe has to be simple enough for them to be able to understand it ?

Well, I tried kindness and it didn't work, so I'll leave you to your own world and crack on with this one.
