I have been baptised. No one told me I was Christ. I did not admit that to myself till after my apotheosis. I first had to make sure I had a Jesus consciousness and understood religion his way. If we are all Christ, what is the big deal of being called a Christ? An oil bath is no big deal unless it is in a Rub & Tug. What does being Christ mean to you? Regards DL

That some sects of Christianity include anointment as an optional part of their baptism ceremony is hardly relevant to the question. Baptism is not anointment.

Spoken like a true Gnostic wannabe possessed by a demon of hate. And you have the gall to accuse God of being the hateful one. The only things that He will destroy will be the fallen angels and unclean spirits so I suggest you get rid of the one you have before it drags you into death. I have no issue with you, GIA. I have issues with the false spirit which fills your head with empty knowledge (doctrines of demons) and then embarrasses all of us by you acting so carnally and dismissively while claiming to have found the key belief in Christianity. The orthodox Christian belief is sound. Jesus was never anointed through any human religion or ritual. Nevertheless, He was and is God's son. If Armageddon happens it will be caused by humans competing for resources. Global warming will in fact cause a similar scenario. The presence of the Holy Spirit on earth causes the other spirits to react, and humans acquire these other spirits by resisting the pull of the Holy Spirit. Satan lies to us by crying foul and saying God is hateful and destructive when in fact the battle is focused only on him and his legions of spirits and demons. It all sounds bonkers to a supposed enlightened mind, but time will verify what I am telling you. My main job is to work out my own salvation and overcome the evil assigned to me. It won't be easy and likely ringo will be right and I will have to give everything up. I feel too weak to finish this race.

Anointment has absolutely nothing to do with divinity. The whole issue of whether or not Jesus was anointed is totally irrelevant to anything related to whether or not Jesus was divine. The "Jesus was not anointed" issue is simply irrelevant to anything other than whether or not Jesus was part of the priesthood and officially recognized as such by the Jewish hierarchy at the time. He wasn't.

Nobody said that it did. Anointment does have a lot to do with being anointed, which is the point.

The Messiah is supposed to be of the Davidic line and restore the monarchy, so the anointment of kings would be more relevant. Jesus was almost certainly not of the Davidic line and was never crowned as King of Judah or Israel.
