I said that YOU are confusing legality with morality. There was no legal framework in Jesus' community. Misuse of community funds was a moral issue, not a legal one.

I didn't mean any courts at all. If you follow the conversation back, we were discussing the community or "commune" of Jesus and His disciples. They were on an honor system.

We're not talking about "the Jews". We're talking about Jesus' "commune" - the disciples, maybe some camp-followers. We're talking about how they handled their communal treasury.

Non sequitur. You seem to be having a lot of trouble understanding a simple concept: What we're discussing here is ONLY the honor system that Jesus and His disciples and camp-followers used in disbursing their collective personal resources. Everything outside their group is irrelevant.
