RobinRohan has died

I figure the forum should know. It had been a while since he had posted, his name hadn't shown up on the board when I was here, and he hadn't answered some emails, so yesterday I called the school where he teaches and they told me he had died. I didn't get the date straight in my head but it had to be the 30th although somebody mentioned the 7th. In any case it was on a Saturday morning during a class he was teaching. He said he wasn't feeling well and left the classroom. They found him on the floor either in the corridor or in the men's room -- I talked to two different people -- and he was DOA at the hospital, of an apparent heart attack. He was a smoker. I was told they've already had the memorial service so I think it couldn't have been the 7th that he died. Maybe that was the day of the service.

That is a great shame. RobinRohan had a most unusual outlook on things and I 'm sure his contribution will be missed. Let us hope that his current signature ...

Thanks, Faith, for bringing this to our attention.

It seems that he died while doing what he enjoyed most - bringing enlightenment to his students.

It is fortnate that you were able and had the inclination to check up on him.
Knowing gives us a chance to mourn the loss of a fellow member.

I suggest that the board close down for a day or period of time in honor of RobinRohan.

He now has all his answers.

No offense, but for now I don't take it for granted that this is true. I suspect Robin put you up to it.

If I'm wrong, forgive me. But I hope I'm right because that would mean he's alive. I did like Robin. I hope he's in paradise if it's a true story, and if paradise exists.

Sympathy to his friends and family.

For all I know all of you are merely computer programs, designed to confuse me. But for what it's worth, I regarded Robin an eclectic somewhat. Perhaps this explains his honesty, in his views pertaining to Christianity, and his support for positions that were not necessarily his own.

Although I disagree with Faith on issues that are part of the EvC debate, I really don't believe she is that devious.

Sure, Faith's posting in this thread falls short of complete proof. But I accept it as the best evidence currently available.

I've had my own moments of disbelief. Could he have put the school administrators up to it? Maybe he just wanted to escape his current life, run away or something. It's very hard to believe and I wish it weren't true. I'm going to miss him.Edited by Faith, : No reason given.
