I watched the video. I agree with some of it.Yes, our national debt is too high. I blame Republicans.Yes, I agree that our supply lines are too fragile. I mostly blame Republicans, though Bill Clinton deserves some criticism there, too. Reliance on outsourcing is a bad idea. I have always seen it as a bad idea. Much of it comes from Reagan's "supply side economics".The whole idea of outsourcing has been to cut costs, increase profits for the rich and fuck the poor. Somehow the Republicans repeatedly persuade you to vote against your own best interestsThe large national debt is mostly because Republicans keep cutting taxes when those taxes should have been used to pay down the debt.If Republicans want smaller government, then they need to actually cut things. But they won't do that, because they know that the voters will throw them out of office if they do. So, instead, they cynically cut taxes in an attempt to force the Democrats to do the actual cutting of programs. This is never going to work.

I suspect that most people on the left would prefer it if Trump were largely ignored. The media have a bias toward entertainment values, and Trump is quite skillful at manipulating the press.
