Why is it that you Christians are forever forecasting an apocalypse? Why the pessimism?Is it a requirement of Christianity to believe the worst all the time? Despite, in general, things getting overall better.

You people hve been saying that for 2,000 years. And over and over again, you're wrong.Not only that, all the evidence is against you. The general direcTion is improvement. Undeniable improvement in the lives of people. Only because it makes Christians look bloody stupid and utterly wrong, time after time. Because it's factual and ineoscapabably wrong. No it doesn't - things are in fact getting better. You're a weird one.

That's called either a flat out contradiction of your 'everything is getting worse' mantra or an attempt at having your cake and eat it. Actually both. What we see over history are improvements in our life and no spiritual effects at all. What we see is people getting on with their lives without worrying about supersticious nonsense. I'm totally unaware of any god hatred; simply god total absence. Like fairies. But it seems that no matter how long and how hard you and your predecessors pray for it, it never happens.

It talks about a lot of stuff that you know is garbage.'The end is nigh.' is just a lie you guys tell each other to keep yourselves frightened enough to believe the rest of it.

If the end not nigh, has never been nigh nor isn't going to be nigh until the sun burns out, why are you guys always fantasising about it? It's a lie. Stop doing it.

You're kidding? Your lot are predicting it all the bloody time and have been since Christianity began. It's in the teachings and in the culture. Faith was convinced it was happening only last year. You're talking about - actually hoping for it - all the time these days. Nothing is going to be the same way, everything changes but the sun always comes up, has done for billions of years and will do for billions more. Why do YOU think you're so special that YOU get to be here when the end became nigh? Just like all the others all through time. It's just narcissism.
