A good rule of thumb is that if Faith supports it, it’s probably fake.
And the reasoning is appallingly bad. Mueller was tasked with investigating the Trump campaign so to suggest he is doing if for other reasons is dubious in the extreme. Manafort headed Trumps campaign for a while - so if he’s an obvious crook with Russian connections of course he is going to be indicted, and indicted early. Mueller is being attacked for doing his job, which tells you a lot about the author’s biases. It’s another example of the Trump strategy of trying to divert attention from the investigation by attacking the Clintons. It’s certainly convincing me that Trump is desperate to cover up what went on.

quote: Because it is obviously not the case. For instance your real news is obviously ignoring the fact the Mueller was appointed to do this investigation and that rather obviously the dodgy campaign manager with Russian connections was always likely to be among the first to be indicted. The fact that Mueeler is doing his job as he would be expected to do it is hardly evidence against him! So it is obviously dishonest propaganda aimed at delegitimising Mueller’s investigation. And thus we can hardly trust any other claims it makes either.

quote: Even if the Uranium deal was entirely real, it is obvious that the Murller investigation is not an attempt to distract from it - and it is obvious that bringing it up IS an attempt to distract from the Mueller investigation. Anyone attempting to argue otherwise is engaging in obvious dishonesty There are real grounds for the Mueller investigation- and more evidence is emerging. The reaction from the Trump camp meanwhile is making it rather clear that they have something to hide.

quote: The fact remains that Mueller was appointed to investigate the Trump links with Russia - and not by the Democrats. The fact remains that members of the Trump campaign have been less than honest about their communications with the Russians. In short the narrative of Trump’s supposed collusion with Russia is not invented, is quite likely true, and has nothing to do with Clinton’s supposed collusion. Really, what is the point of these lies ? They only tell us that you are afraid of what Mueller might uncover.

quote: Of course in reality Trump isn’t being accused of involvement with the uranium deal or the Fusion GPS dossier. In reality Flaherty trotted out the accusations against Clinton because of actual developments in the Mueller investigation - real news. And he is trying to discredit Mueller because he is afraid of what Mueller will find. It’s not a very clever attempt at a cover up. It works only because the right is steeped in evil and hate and lies. And you are a willing part of that.

To be fair the Daily Stormer has had considerable trouble lately and last I heard they were off the web (although they could be back by now). But equally I don’t think that even Faith would be daft enough to use them as an example of the poor oppressed conservatives.

They were kicked off of a number of hosts in the wake of their disgusting reporting on events at Charlottesville. When they started suggesting that CloudFlare supported them the boss of CloudFlare lost patience and kicked them off too.

quote: It seems to me that much of the polarisation comes from the extreme and growing partisanship - and concomitant disregard for the truth - found on the right. It also seems to me that letting the investigations proceed would be the best way of bringing the truth to light. Those who sink to the level of smearing the investigators - and those who promote those smears as real news obviously do not want the truth to be found.

quote: Coming from someone caught lying in this thread that is hardly convincing.

What about business deals in Russia or with Russians ?
All-things-Russia is going to include some business deals, I’m sure.

Faith, you started this thread because you were overjoyed that MSN had published Trump propaganda dishonestly smearing the man investigating the Trump campaign.
That doesn’t show a desire for the truth to come out. That shows a desire to prevent the truth from coming out - and a willingness to support the use of very low tactics in the service of that goal.
