I don't comprehend what a "per day per century" would be.
Although here the units don't match (day vs century) that can be easily corrected by converting either to the other so they match.
But dwise1 is only writing out the long way what can be considered an "acceleration."
For example:
9.8 m/s^2 = 9.8 meters per second per second
Except, if these are all 'slowing down' then, really, it should be a deceleration and therefore have a negative sign in front of it.
Other than that, I didn't really get into the actual maths
