One important detail to note is that the layers above the eroded channels in the column are level. If the channels were due to salt or limestone dissolving after the layers were deposited, the layers above would have sagged.The only way I can think of having channels in the buried layers with level layers above is to erode the channels then add layers above.

No if the layers are already deposited, removing material has to cause the layers above to sag. All the weight above would push the layers straight down into the empty space.To make the layers shown, the channels have to be eroded before the layer above is deposited. Then next layer deposited fills the channel and finishes with the flat top of the layer shown.

You are not making sense to me. Since we are talking about a flood still depositing sediment, the salt would have been dissolved into the flood water. How does salt deposit during a flood since the water must evaporate off from the salt solution to get the solid salt? The salt would immediately dissolve back into the flood water. But the tops of the layers above the sags are horizontal? Where is the sag above the channel?
