This is a thread where those who believe that there was some world wide flood or that one or more of the Biblical floods actually happened can present the model, method, process, procedure or mechanism that produced specific things seen in reality. To attempt to keep it somewhat organized one item will be considered at a time and once a satisfactory model, method, process, procedure or mechanism has been presented we can then move to the next example that needs to be explained.
The first question is "How did the flood sort things so that there is a layer where there are no chordates while layers above do have chordates?"

Anyone so limited that they can only spell a word one way is severely handicapped!

Bump in the hope that someone can explain the process, model, method, procedure or mechanism for the flood to sort things so that there is a layer where there are no chordates while layers above do have chordates?
Of course there is magic I guess or "Insert Miracle Here".

The no chodate layers are antediluvian and contain just a sampling of the primitive sea life that existed. Mammals and chordates were simply not fossilized in large numbers until the flood.

Good start. Let's assume that is true for a start and move to the next question.
So the flood did not have anything to do with that layer.
What is the process, model, method, procedure that allowed the flood to sort things so that there was only sea life while the layers above contain sea life and also land plants but no seed bearing plants?

I can continue to play the game, but I don't want to mock creationists by making up straw men or, worse, to write them into a corner that they would not have argued themselves into.
I think a creationists, in general, can go a few rounds like this, but cannot explain every detail.

It is incorrect to claim that creation believers are in a corner because you think they believe that all layers were flood deposited.

different causes for different layers?

You would be right that most creationists don't think all the layers were deposited by the Flood, in fact I'm not sure how many -- if any -- do think that, but I do. The layers are too uniform to have had different causes, and the most sensible explanation is water that covered the whole planet.
Edited by Faith, : No reason given.

Re: different causes for different layers?
Will that be the answer to explain each layer?

Re: different causes for different layers?
Maybe they were deposited faster than they think? That doesn't have to mean a flood. My thought is that each geologic layer represents something closer to a few centuries, than millions of years.

Re: different causes for different layers?
The Biblical floods never lasted longer than a year according to the fables so anything that took even a century is not related to one of the Biblical flood myths.
This topic is about flood mechanisms, we can deal with other Young Earth nonsense in other threads.
So here is the first question:"How did the flood sort things so that there is a layer where there are no chordates while layers above do have chordates?"
What is the model, method, process, procedure or mechanism that explains that sorting?

And your evidence for that is????
Oh, in framing your answer it might be advisable to study the scientific evidence for millions of years and have some evidence-based refutation. Opinions and "thoughts" don't count for much.

Religious belief does not constitute scientific evidence, nor does it convey scientific knowledge.

Re: different causes for different layers?
The fast depositing is related because it fits the timeframe actually. The flood did not deposit all the layers that is a silly strawman.
