Re: Ad won't go away
Did you clear all five of the items I listed?

Anyone so limited that they can only spell a word one way is severely handicapped!

Alas, it came back
But it was my fault, I clicked on another one of those ads. Now I'm thinking Genomicus was right and it is a virus that attaches specifically to those ads. I can get rid of it again, at least I think I did, I'm afraid to look right now, but if it's a virus I need to do something about that.

Download and install malwarebytes free version from malwarebytes.org Then do a scan and it will remove all malicious programs (if you've never done it before you wI'll probably find hundreds). The adware you are having problems with should be detected and removed by the program.

Lost my big cursor and who knows what else
I HATE COMPUTERS. I HATE MICROSOFT. They make me do a Windows upgrade and it eliminates all kinds of things I need. This time it eliminated the wonderful gigantic cursor my son in law had set up for me when they were here. I struggle to locate the cursor with my bad eyes but the big one I could actually see and follow. It was huge and showed black against white and white against black. I can't do it myself unless maybe he or someone can talk me through the process. But that is SO hard for me and my eyes can't take it. This is so frustrating. I wish I could sue them and make them fix it for me.

Re: Lost my big cursor and who knows what else
Find your Control Panel (perhaps by right clicking on the windows icon in the bottom left of your screen). In the control panel you should find a listing for Mouse. Open that and select pointers. There will be an option to select a scheme. Open the drop down menu and select the one you like. Hit the apply button.
Hope that helps.

Re: Lost my big cursor and who knows what else
This is based on my Windows 10.
Windows-R. Run Control Panel. Over in the right column (on my computer; actual mileage may vary) is a "Ease of Access Center" option. Click on that.
Options include magnifier, high contrast, etc. In the list offered is "Make the Mouse Easier to Use". Some of those options include changing the size of the mouse cursor.
I don't know whether that will help.

PT and dw, thanks to both of you. I will try your recommendations when I'm up to it.
