The thing is, we know it didn't happen literally. We know that as surely as we know France exists. By your willful ignorance of what we do know, you're the one who is denigrating the Bible.

How could you know? You keep saying that the Flood produced conditions that were different from anything we can know by observing present-day processes. If we can't know about the processes during the Flood, how can you know?You're not getting your information from the Bible. You're making up things like tsunamis and asteroids that are thoroughly non-Biblical.
