Re: Follow up with Knigel
I don't know what a "link" is on a Facebook page. If you can point me to an example of one I can probably figure this out.

Unless there's some kind of funny issues on your machine, if you right click on the image and select "Save image as..." that should bring up a window that lets you put it somewhere on your disk.

Is that a question or a suggestion? I've never sent anybody a friend request, so probably not.
I have at least four personae on the Internet, which I like to keep separate. I have been "ringo" on some other sites which I don't try to separate fom this one. I'm also on another debate site with a different user name but you'd probably recognize me if you knew the name - and I use that name on another site which I would just as soon you don't know about. Then there's my NationStates persona which I've already mentioned in another thread. And finally there's the real me on Facebook.

TrueCreation said that there were elements on different layers, such as the text, which is rotated in the version used here, and which may need to be relocated for the other text elements and fitting the page requirements.
Message 28 TrueCreation: I've just searched through my old HD backup and I found the original fireworks png files for the logo from 2002. The canvas is 800x225, so is much bigger than the image on the evc website. It is also layered with the alpha transparencies preserved, so someone can fiddle around with it easily. If someone wants to PM me an email address or tell me where I can upload it i'd be happy to.
For instance the text I have added in the image on Message 23 and Message 27 are on different layers than the logo picture and they are all layered over a cropped version of the Hubble picture on the home page, so I can move them around and resize them.
For instance I could move the "understanding through discussion" in the first image above the "EvC Forum" text.

Can you do a version with just the forum logo using the "EvC Forum" and "Understand through Discussion" text from your right-hand image? And since the "creation versus evolution" portion is on it's own layer, can you change it to "evolution versus creation"?

Re: Follow up with Knigel
Well, it appears that you can pin certain posts to the top of the page. What they do in GMO Skepti-Forum that shows an example of a link can be seen in their pinned post. It is literally just typing the link into a pinned post. We could possibly use this to direct people to the rules pages and some specific sections, I do not think there is a limit on the number of links that you can include in a pinned post, so we could make a sort of directory post with all these different links. An example (although they only put one link in it) can be seen in the pinned post at the top of the GMO Skepti-forum, found here:
GMO Skepti-forum
ABE - I just expanded the post I was talking about and actually it contains a few links within the pinned post. That is the sort of idea I was thinking about when I said a directory.
As for how they set things up on their wiki to link back to the Facebook page, this is the set-up I can find that shows all the network that Knigel has created. This is from the Skepti-forum wiki:

Evidently Facebook wont show the link unless you have an account with Facebook. Seeing as how we value our anonymity here, I dont expect everyone to rush over there, but I might see if my fans(nearly 300) can pump some life into us.

We must realize that the Reformation world view leads in the direction of government freedom. But the humanist world view with inevitable certainty leads in the direction of statism.
