One in four Americans think the Sun revolves around the Earth.

Anyone so limited that they can only spell a word one way is severely handicapped!

yea and Americans have the world's largest supply of nukes, worlds largest army funding by fare, and the worlds largest polluters per capita, second largest after china just by pollution. This is such a brilliant combination i cant see the downside.

I think that education is important, but many people dont value anything much beyond basic reading.

Which is why the US is no longer among the First (and maybe even the Second) World Nations.
But don't worry, the Civilized Nations will always need folk to cut the grass, wait on tables, collect the trash ...

Bones about Loans
#14 Americans have more student loan debt than anyone else in the world.
Because our college costs are higher. These poor kids could get educated in Europe far cheaper, were they in that system.

Not AmericanS, I assure you of that. AmericA, maybe, as in the gov't or military. But not AmericANS. This is about how stupid the people are as a nation relative to the rest of the first, educated world, not what the government or military does.
Edited by hooah212002, : gov't OF military works just fine, just not for this post

That is not a fair assessment IMHO. I agree with GDR, Amaricans are the first to come and help no matter where. In some cases the help has been a bit like an elephant is a glass shop but it does not diminish the basic willingness to want to help.
That said, it is also nothing short of amazing how religious fanaticism has led to a quarter of Americans being knowledgewise on the same level as a squid.

Don't knock squid: very intelligent creature, your squid.

The above ontological example models the zero premise to BB theory. It does so by applying the relative uniformity assumption that the alleged zero event eventually ontologically progressed from the compressed alleged sub-microscopic chaos to bloom/expand into all of the present observable order, more than it models the Biblical record evidence for the existence of Jehovah, the maximal Biblical god designer.

No it is not a fair assessment at all. The world is a better place because it exists.
There is some cause for concern though. They need to figure out that all of the guns in the world will not protect you from the perils of ignorance.

So America is fat, ignorant, unhealthy, wasteful crime ridden druggies.
Given all that:
There is still much beauty in this country and much goodness as well imo. I'd rather live here than anywhere else in the world.
