The ever diminishing "punitive strikes" will do nothing good, and a lot of harm.
A punitive strike using nukes that obliterated Assad's entire military would send a message that could not be ignored.
Pinpricks, as are being proposed, will just show Assad that he can stand up to the US and not have to worry.
Best just to leave well enough alone.

No, that's how English is spoken.

But how does taking some chemical weapons from Syria "solve" the problem of Assad's war crimes?

That's ordinary English grammar. Though he did misspell "punitive" and might have pluralized the verb, if we're going to be jerks.
Edited by Dr Adequate, : No reason given.

Ah, okay, yeah.
"How does punative strikes (solve the problem), except as a warning not to do it again?"
I was missing the stuff in parentheses.
Thats why we use quotes, ramoss!
