In this thread we will post about musicians that you are interested in. Your posts have to include name of the artist, an album to start with, and genre. Stuff like side work of band members and indluences are not necessary.
I would like to start with
The Raincoats
Album: The Raincoats
Post-Punk
I couldnt find the whole album so here is a link to one of their songs
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9-p5OfsjxsQ
They sound like Velvet Underground
I made this thread because I would like a more formal approach to recommending music in here.
Coffee Shop section or something like that
Please dont post about crunkcore artists in here

Re: Good stuff
In the last couple weeks I have been listening to a lot of Irish folk musicians and that in turn lead to Celtic Woman.
Others I ahve been enjoying are Mary Black, Christy Moore and Declan Sinnott.
Declan has his first solo album out. "I Love The Noise It Makes" is very good.
Here are some snippets
Here is Christy Moore and Declan Sinnott playing "Shine on you Crazy Diamond" off of Christy Moore's album "Listen"

Facts don't lie or have an agenda. Facts are just facts
"God did it" is not an argument. It is an excuse for intellectual laziness.

The original from the "Ghost of Tom Joad" was an acoustic song but this one is just amazing.

If you're interested, here's the original Gaelic song:
Celtic Women are excellent singers, but Deirbhile is from a Gaelic speaking area so her pronunciation is far better.

Omni - that first one you posted is astounding, but it ain't Taj Mahal. And he can be astounding, too.
