I think you're taking this too serious.
Can you explain how things really changed between Bush and Obama? And throw in there how you think things will really change with Romney.
Not that I think Romney will win, but I'm curious how "we're doomed" will play itself out.

but I'm curious how "we're doomed" will play itself out.
For one, it will prove beyond a reasonable doubt that politicians don't have to hide their lies. No longer will it be some "secret" that only people like us see. No, everyone sees this son of a bitch lie, on a national stage, then goes on to get away with it. It will prove that politicians can be openly and publicly two faced.
Ok, maybe not doomed, but it's one hell of a scary precedent.

Aren't lies in the open less scary than lies behind closed doors?
Or (to be facetiously Rumsfeldian) would we prefer known unknowns or unknown unknowns?

I was already under this impression. Although, lets be honest, it won't prove it to those who don't think he was lying.
Obama claimed he would close down Guantanamo within 6 months in office. Remember "Read my lips, no new taxes"...?
If it hasn't been proven beyond a reasonable doubt that politicians can openly lie, you haven't been paying attention.

True, to an extent. But when their entire campaign flip flops on every position to the extent that they pretend they never held those positions and 95% of what they say in a presidential debate is fact checked to be false, that is a far cry from a few "lies".
Or are you saying Obama is just as much of a liar as Mittens?

I'm saying all politicians are liars, and to pick one out for being "the most liar" is not really fair.
Obama told his fair share of lies during his campaign and made promises he knew he could not keep so he could be elected. They all do that though, Mittens is no exception.
The worse broken promise is of course to respect medical marijuana.
quote:
"The Obama administration has lost its way on medical marijuana and is about to seriously anger millions of Americans," said Aaron Smith, executive director of the National Cannabis Industry Association. "For some inexplicable reason, they have suddenly decided to target providers who are faithfully complying with state and local laws and pay their taxes.
"Without citing any harm caused by these providers, the Obama administration is trying to destroy them, kill thousands of jobs and drive medical marijuana patients - and profits - back underground," Smith said. "This new policy favors the criminal market over legitimate, taxpaying businesses and is absurd."

So what about war & NDAA & the weed?
Here is the FUCKING DIFFERENCE:
Obama immediately changed the stem-cell research legality. If Romney is elected he will immediately change it back to being illegal.
THIS WILL HURT MY BROTHER, RAZD - HIS CHANCES OF STAYING ALIVE.
Fuck that shit. This is where it gets personal. You vote for Romney - FUCK YOU.
Vote SCIENCE, vote INTELLIGENCE, but please vote. OH WAIT! There is a whole shitload of OTHER stuff at stake. Supreme Court. Women's rights. The Republicans are so home-erectus with their dicks. Tokamak spare tires indeed.
Good god they are so different. Fuck the Republicans.

Are you for real?
First of all, to say that they are all liars is the laziest way to go about this. This is an evolution vs creation debate forum. We see this kind of lazy thinking all the time.
A horse can move from point A to point B 2 miles away. A car can do the same thing. A car must be the same as a horse.
Oh, how about this. Don't tell me you've never lied before in your life. If you've ever lied, then technically you are a damn liar. Hitler was a liar, too. You must be on the same level as hitler.
Have you ever eaten chicken? Sure you have. My dogs love to eat chicken. You must be the same as my dogs.
You are down playing how shamelessly a liar Romney is by saying they're all liars and therefore they are all the same.
But more importantly, when you made the statement that Obama hasn't kept some of his promises, you're assuming we elected him as the absolute emperor dictator of the country.
Repeat after me, we didn't elect Obama to be the absolute dictator emperor of our country.
Since you've eaten chicken and my dogs also have eaten chicken, you must be the same as my dogs. I don't suppose you want to play catch with me?

Obama claimed he would close down Guantanamo within 6 months in office.
He did, by executive order. Congress overruled him, remember?

Is there any point voting for a president who cannot get anything through congress?
Imagine that instead of some Obama-supporting-foreigner without a vote it is instead an undecided voter in a swing/close/key state asking you that question.
How would you answer that question?

Errr, . . . the current president has the powers of a god. Each Tuesday (or is it 'assassination-Thursday'?) he meets with his staff to decide who to murder with impunity. It can be a 'terrorist', an innocent child, or even a fellow american. There are no congressional limits.
I think americans should vote for the candidate who will likely murder the LEAST amount of children. IMO, zero children murdered would be best.

the best government is an inefficient government.
That limitation is built into our system of government. The US Presidency is limited by design, as is Congress. The only body in the US system that is authoritative is the Supreme Court and it is even powerless to enforce its authority without the cooperation of the other two bodies.

Anyone so limited that they can only spell a word one way is severely handicapped!

It is a good thing that the Senate is clearly more powerful than a god then...
Wow! America is run by politicians with super-powers!

Luckily that allows people to vote for any of the candidates as none of them have committed murder.
This can be easily seen by the lack of "arrested for murder" and the lack of "convicted of murder".
Or do you have some more "secrets" that you wish to share with us about how Obama was "secretly" arrested and "secretly" convicted of murder?
Actually, you probably do; there is no limit to the hate-filled bullshit you will make up.

Phew, what a relief for the parent's of the HUNDREDS of children killed by Obama's directives that they were NOT murdered. Boy, the parents will surely be happy from this news.
