Spiritually malnourished Atheist

The song stairway to heaven reminds some people of a wealthy shopaholic woman who seeks happiness through materialism. The song could just as aptly describe a fundamentalist Christian who goes to a tent revival and buys all of the tapes and books that the slap happy evangelist is selling as well as a prayer cloth or two and a bottle of annointed oil! We can't buy our way into Nirvana because Kurt Cobain could never buy his way out!

Hi Doyle, what I mean is your comment about you never being conviced of a "God created in mans image" (sic) I have often wonder while chatting with atheist what constitutes an atheist from a theist. If I ask an atheist "What exactly is it you dont believe?" And he says he does not believe in the Ol' father figure swirling around the Earth. Well.. I dont believe in that either.
or the Fire and Brim stone God of the Bible.. well I dont believe in that either. or the God who has a godly hand cupped to his ear to hear only Christian prayers..nope cant say I believe that either.
Does that make me an atheist? I have found that most true atheist live life at face value and find meaningfulness and fulfillment by just being alive. As Crash Frog I think was alluding to. Most atheist make no suppositions of how or why the universe begat conciousness. Or why or how a quantum fluctuation begat the big bang. On the whole I found most atheist to be rather honest people with no agendas but rather at times quite spirtual, LOL. Although they would never admit it.
