LoL. Rails are practical in small countries having cities close together. In the US they are not.
How many major bridges have fallen lately? Relatively few have died via falling bridges. Our cities are, for the most part, more structured for earthquakes than most. Our roads depend on the states. Some are great and some not. LoL if you cross the border into Mexico. Better have the ball joints and suspension up to the punishment.
