As similar as Jehovah and Allah.

No similarity at all then so I need new instructions.

Open Microsoft Edge.
Click on More options ( symbol) on the top right corner of the browser. Select Settings from the drop down menu. Click on Cookies under Clear browsing data.

I don't want to clear all cookies, that creates big headaches, I just want to clear cookies for evcforum.net.
But I haven't been having the problem for the last few posts so maybe I'll just skip it. Thanks anyway. Edited by Faith, : No reason given. Edited by Faith, : No reason given.

Microsoft Edge is the successor to Internet Explorer on Windows 10. Skipping the details, you can delete specific cookies in Microsoft Edge, but they make it as difficult as possible. Should you ever need to delete cookies for EvC Forum then unless it would represent a considerable hardship I recommend you just delete all cookies. Should you ever need to do this then return to this thread for specific instructions.

Thank you. I've been having the trouble again but I think I've learned how to avoid it: I have to check every time I want to post a message that my name is on the roster above and it gives the "Logout" message rather than "Login" after my name at the very top where it says "Welcome, Member." If those two things are there I don't have a problem though I'm still copying and pasting my messages just in case.
Oh and I think it may be MOST important never to just close the page without logging out. I don't want to ask you to post complicated instructions if I end up not using them, but I would like to be able to get rid of just the cookies for EvC because I remember big headaches when I delete all cookies. But as long as I've learned to skirt the problem it may not be necessary anyway. Edited by Faith, : No reason given.

"Your CP" is where you can edit your profile. The "delete cookies" is way down at the bottom.
Of course, you need to be logged in to do it. I presume that only deletes the evcforum.net cookies. Moose

The way it is worded didn't reassure me it would only delete the forum cookies but after reading it a dozen times I risked it. Hope for the best. Thanks.
abe: tried another site. Hooray, no problems. Thanks again. Edited by Faith, : No reason given. Edited by Faith, : No reason given.

I'm supposing this is temporary but it is a bit disconcerting: What happened to all the date and time information on the posts and at the top? I also note that "Essential Links" isn't working.

If you're still using Microsoft Edge, both date/time and Essential Links are working for me.

The problem got corrected about an hour later so everything's OK now. I thought it might be a maintenance issue of some kind but I guess not.

It's bugged, it never tells you when you have to get on with things again.
