Yes, I am seeing the same ratings problem with firefox 5.0 (64 bit) on opensuse 11.4.I'll recheck tomorrow, since Admin has indicated that he will work on a fix.

Background:I logged in under my old, formerly linked, AdminNWR account. My intention was to look at the dBoard 4.0 changes from that account, mainly to see if I could still login.Here is what I noticed:1: There is a "Reply" button showing for most posts, even though that account had its reply ability disabled. Of course, I tested it, and was not allowed to reply. So this is mainly a cosmetic problem, and perhaps not too serious.2: If I click on a thread where I had not read any post, then all posts are presented in a single page. The profile settings (20 posts per page) is ignored. After I have read the thread, if I go back into that thread again, I then see 20 posts per page.It does not matter whether:

• I click on the blue arrow for the first unread post;
• I click on the thread title;
• I click on an older thread which has no blue arrow because it has not been recently updated.

As an example of the last of those, I clicked on the title line for Who designed the ID designer(s)?, and I was presented with a single page apparently containing 377 posts.I'm inclined to think this a serious bug, rather than a feature. It will confuse people who newly join the site, since they start out with all posts in all threads as unread.

Something really strange happened to my reply to RAZD at Message 96. I am seeing my post look as if it is enclosed within the RAZD post. That looks like a bug to me.firefox 6.0.2 on opensuse-11.4.

Yes, I guessed that it was probably something like that. However, forum software needs to be robust enough to handle user error.

I was just commenting on the ideal. What is actually achievable is a different question. Possibly dslreports. What I think they do, is treat html as a kind of dbcode. That is, they munge the code that users give, and create their own internal html to achieve what the user presumably wanted.As far as I can tell, most forums either completely disallow html, or severely restrict what is allowed.

Apparently, that first unread message was the one from a spammer that had been deleted.I think you need to change the logic to the first existing unread message, or to the last message if there is no existing unread message.

I was attempting to give a jeer to Message 764, but I found that I couldn't.I assume that this is because the poster is inactive.When I jeer a post, it is the post, not the member, that I am jeering. Whether the member is inactive seems irrelevant as to whether that post deserves a jeer.

I looked into a couple of those. I got:

• chzlolcats.wordpress.com is no longer available.
• icanhascheezburger.wordpress.com is no longer available.

It looks as if those sites have been taken down. Perhaps the copyright police have been at work.So maybe "sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't" translates to "sometimes the image is in cache and sometimes it isn't".
