There once was a fellow named Straggler
Whose ideas were highly irregular
He thought with no plan and no firm guiding hand
That he evolved from some rocks, how peculiar

There was a member here named G-D-R
Who considers abiogenesis just a step far too far.
He says life cannot have come from rocks!! But look what's evolved from my socks!!
And that's why from shoe shops I'm barred.Edited by Straggler, : No reason given.

Now Straggler has talked of his socks
Comparing cellular fungus to rocks
So again with no plan,
that is known to man
It’s still life from rocks , is it Botox?

From my socks a plethora of lifeforms evolved
The onetime mystery of origins now solved
But my skin is like the bark of a tree
Because it is botox injection free

Who solved life’s greatest conundrum
Abiogenesis grew
From the sock in his shoe
No God no science it’s optimum

I would like to bring to your attention
An experiment here worth a mention
The basis of RNA
Life maybe well on it's way
Perhaps the first step in our ascension?But if we can agree about my socks
Agree to just ignore those old rocks
There will be no need
Our minds can be freed
From the science Vs religion paradox

Miller mixed chemicals into a stew
With methane and ammonia too
He threw in some water
And with a spark it got hotter
But who mixed the original brew?

Regarding the questions of the origins of life
It seems EvC tensions will always be rife
But if the original brew
Is just my old shoe
Maybe sock theory can end this strife?
Amino acids
Are never placid
But what if my shoe is the midwife of life?

With Straggler all’s been resolved
A solution with no God involved
But there’s some information
That needs explanation
From what have those darn socks evolved

Curses to you
For thinking it through
It's back to the box
For my socks
And I'll have to abandon my shoeIt's that darn prime mover
Always an argument loser
We are perplexed
It makes me vexed
Hence I end up in the boozerOn the rhyme of life this is my last word
We've said what we've said and both been heard
Life is here
We both hold it dear

An emotional fellow is Chuck
