I would suggest the chances are high that at some place and at some point in time there has or will be life on another planet.
No evidence to make that claim however, apart from the the obeservation that abiogenesis happened at least once on one planet so it would be logical to assume it could happen on another planet (given the vast number of paotential life bearing plantes out there).

Well no i seriusly doubt that an alien civilization that has masterd intergalactical travele would abduct humans and have s#$ with them.
After all, there is only so much information you can gather with an anal probe.

You are correct in that psychology gets the mark into the casino, but the odds is what makes them the money.
It's also psychology that keeps people in the casino. Gambling is a variable ratio reinforcement schedule with immediate feedback.
This schedule is perfect to create a high steady response rate and is responsible for the addictivity (is that a word? it is, now) of gambling in general.
