General Discussion Of Moderation Procedures (aka 'The Whine List')

I have difficulty reading every post. I read backwards, forwards, upside-down with equal difficulty. I have a lot more difficulty with posters who don't know what a sentence is than I do with a few missing capitals.I personally have to put more effort into the style than the content or my posts would look like they were written with an axe. I think everybody should be suspended but me.

I love it. I hesitate to be pedantic, with you of all people, but your usage of "flaunt" is nonstandard and technically incorrect. For maximum communicative power, you should use "flout".Ban him, Moose!

Prompting somebody to do his own search is often preferable to posting links. "Seek and ye shall find," is more likely to to provide enlightenment than, "Swallow what I feed you."

The best (and most heated) discussions I've had at EvC were with people who generally have views similar to mine. See this thread for a recent example. If you just want to voice your opinions, you need a blog, not a discussion forum.

I used to be full of rage when I was a Christian. I'm not saying that Christianity causes rage. It might have been because I was young and foolish. I'm much older now.I don't like the attitudes of people who disagree with me either but I find that the best way to drive them crazy is to stay cool. They hate that.

If the moderators met their own standards too often, I'd want them to raise their standards.

Don't confuse, "I disagree with you," and, "You're irrational."Also don't expect parents to undermine each other.

If the moderation was as blatantly biased as you seem to think, there probably wouldn't be many lurkers here. And if Percy's diabolical plan was working, they wouldn't be on the fence.

From Faith's point of view, we're the Jehovah's Witnesses and she's doing us a big favour by just coming to the door, never mind listening to what we have to say.

It's implied. Most of us don't appreciate the "education" that we get from Jehovah's Witnesses either. Granted, we don't usually spin it back at them.We just smile and nod politely and wait for an opportunity to close the door. But if Faith did that we wouldn't be talking about her.

I, for one, am happy to take on all comers. Creationists, in general, are poor thinkers (or they wouldn't be creationists), so they'e not much of a challenge.
