And what did DrJones mean by "the "pay me to fix your problems" message" in Message 34?

One of the last attempts was just a message taking the place of the forums themselves with the note "... Pay me $250 and I'll fix your problems."

There was a message displayed here that said "You program like you live in the 90's. Pay me $ 250 to fix all your errors."You couldn't access anything on the site, it would just display that message.

This whole thing reeks of 4Chan, but I don't think christians frequent 4Chan. Unless my assumption that it was a creo-tard with hacking skills is wrong..........(yes, they do exist).

Funny. When Comcast switched from McAfee to Norton, earlier this year, I suddenly got a bug that would not let me install Norton. When i called Norton, and told them that my service provider had hired them as a standard anti virus, they essentially told me the same thing. Pay us, and we will fix your problem.Obviously, I refused, and even with my limited computer knowledge, I figured out how to remove the bug for free. (Installed Windows Defender and had it taken off)Never pay a criminal to take care of your problem. That's the moral I learned. Edited by Phat, :

Hello, everyone, welcome back! And as someone else already said, it *is* great to be back.Some security issues were brought to my attention that I had to fix before the board could be stable. Those fixes are in place now, and now we'll find out how successful they were.No data was lost that I know of.As I said last week, all passwords were compromised. If you already changed your password last week then there's no need to change it again, but everyone else should change their password. You can do so by clicking on the Profile link near the top of the page on the left just beneath the EvC Forum banner.A reminder to administrator/moderators: you must change the passwords on both your accounts. Let me know when you've done this via PM (I only see email in the evening) and I will restore your administrator/moderator status. Some of you have already updated your passwords and have had your status restored.Ahhhh, this is nice!

It was deleted during the last hack...

Oh, okay, I wasn't aware of that. I should be able to restore him from backup sometime tonight. Crash was the hacker's original target. Of all the discussion boards in all the world, he walks into mine.
