Author | Topic: Opening the doors to creationism in British Schools? | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

Understand there are only two options as viable and credible for the emergence of the universe. One of them is Creationism. I know of no aternatives to it - do you? So, is there no alternative to Creationism? Even though you just said there were two viable and credible options for the emergence of the universe?
Someone suggested cosmology - which is an ubsurd premise, being part of Creationism. Cosmology is not part of Creationism. Proof: Cosmology is science and creationism is bronze age tribal myth.

quote: The first recording of what was later coined cosmology, is in Genesis. So is the first recording of a finite universe and the first categorising of life form groupings. Very bronze-like. Now show us another bronzy writings of similar myth?

I imagine in a British school, the verse in Genesis which describes the clothing of the first humans as a cute Disney like story. In reality though, Genesis is saying humans are unique as the only life form requiring clothing.
Thread carefully - Genesis is a deceptively simple writ not one for the uniniated. European Christianity and Islam have mis-represented a document they at no time followed or studied, taking it on board 2000 years later, retaining only whatever they can align with their own beliefs. It is why the world is in shock when the true meanings are put before them. Britain would have to first discard all that was said of the Hebrew bible by Christianity - otherwise they will be studying myths.

The two are: a Creator based creation, or not. In a finite realm, the former wins from a scientific POV. Once again, you provide no evidence to support you point! Again and again you pontificate about what you believe to be real without any evidencery support. As for saying that Genesis is the first recording of what would be cosmology I take it you are completely unaware of the Summarian creation myth that predates Genisis by a looooong time. Happy to educate you in theology an area you are (along with science) obviously deficient in. Let me guess, you did either humanities or engineering at university.

Do not take your clothes off or YOU WILL DIE!! Genesis is saying humans are unique as the only life form requiring clothing. If god had meant us to be naked, then we would have been born naked!!

The two are: a Creator based creation, or not. In a finite realm, the former wins from a scientific POV. Then please show us a peer reviewed scientific paper where this POV was used as part of a research program.

1. Creationism [genesis]. A universe with a universe maker.
2. Everything else.

quote: As anyone can see, there is nothing superfluous in this writing. Its not a Walt Disney story - we are told with manifest evidence one life forms is unique - it alone requires clothing - told with the ushering in of the life forms.

As Panda has pointed out humans do not require clothing. Certainly it is not generally socially acceptable to run around naked in many modern societies and the use of clothing has allowed humans to expand the environments they can comfortably adapt to. But to suggest that humans have to wear clothes moves your writing from superfluous to simply ridiculous.

So, you continue to make bare assertions with no evidence to back them up. Its not a Walt Disney story - we are told with manifest evidence one life forms is unique - it alone requires clothing - told with the ushering in of the life forms. People do not require clothing. Many people have spent their whole (long) lives naked. I could spend my whole life living in Antarctica completely naked. You just make crap up as you go along, don't you. Edited by Panda, : No reason given.

Actually, as it turns out the manifest facts are on Genesis' side, people DO require clothing; they ARE the only life forms in that category; that IS a non-superfluous declaration in Genesis.
And here I was thinking in a scientific thread the posters will display adequate thinking rather than engaging in auto-dispute mode. Bite the bullet!

Homo-sapiens require three things and three things only: air, water and nourishment; everything else is luxury. This same statement can be made for all warm blooded mammals. I don't suppose you are going to provide evidence (the bible doesn't count one whit, we are on the science side) for your absurd claim?

I think the saying goes thus: Homo-sapiens require three things and three things only: air, water and nourishment; everything else is luxury. 3 minutes without air.3 days without water. 3 weeks without food. 3 months without underwear. Edited by Panda, : No reason given.

1. Creationism [genesis]. A universe with a universe maker. 2. Everything else. You claimed that creationism was scientific, so I will make my request once again. Please show us a peer reviewed scientific paper where this POV was used as part of a research program.
