He changed it to be that way because eve sinned. it is a good leson for women to learn , that if they sin, they cannot bat their eyes, lower their blouse to show cleavage, hike a skirt and be allowed to skate punishement with God and it makes men feel better for they know that womenwill be punished like they are when they sin. kind of keeps the relationships on an even keel, don't you think?
No, but I think that you are one sick puppy, Arch. 'Course, that whole "original sin" bullshit is pretty sick.

If observational science, as creationists allude to, requires direct observation of the event in order to classify it as fact, than how precisely can they claim with all certainty that Genesis and The Flood happened as absolute facts if they were not there to see it?
You big silly!!
Because the Bible trumps even direct observation. Demons might be influencing your eyeballs, but they couldn't possibly have influenced scribes or King James's translating team.

"The Christian church, in its attitude toward science, shows the mind of a more or less enlightened man of the Thirteenth Century. It no longer believes that the earth is flat, but it is still convinced that prayer can cure after medicine fails." H L Mencken

Re: Separate school and state and religion
Supernovae that are fifty million light years away show light curves just like those of nearby supernovae. All of these can be modeled using the radioactive decay of cobalt-60. It decays at the same rate there as it does on Earth. So time is the same as far as we can see.
You are making things up, creation. Silly things.

Re: This is a thread about what should be taught in school
So you’ve been to this next Christmas already? Or someone you know real well has?
Fascinating.

Re: Please define what you mean by Evolution
I beg to differ. I have a glimmer of how stellar evolution happens, and I’m a complete amateur at astronomy, though I am a reasonably competent reader. And stellar evolution has as much to do with biological evolution as the price of M&Ms in Kazakstan has to do with the orbit of Mimas around Saturn.
Do you want to talk about evolution? Stellar, or biological? We’ll go find Son Goku if we need to ......

Re: bogus claim on the age of the earth being in the bible
But you would never deny and reject evidences you don’t like, would you? You seem to prefer a couple of bits of a single old book, yes?
And please do tell us where in your book you found Proof (TM) of the former nature you talk about. Chapter and verse, please.
