They haven't drawn much attention because they've been balls. Winning an easy group by playing not quite as bad as your opposition doesn't amount to 'starting well'. They won't face any serious opposition till the quarter finals though, so they have plenty of time to raise their game.I'm so happy not to live in England now. The word "Dutch" is derived from the language "Diets" (pronounced a bit like deeds in English). "Diets" was the language spoken around these parts during the middle ages. I guess it just kinda stuck in your language. We refer to ourselves as "The Netherlands", or sometimes, those damned northerners will just call it "Holland", which technically is just the name of two provinces (North and south), but since these two were the most powerful back when our country became kinda one nation, and during the "golden age" of our country (when we whooped your navy's butt), that kinda stuck too. As far as I know, non-English speaking nation refer to us as "The Netherlands", but in their own language of course. In German it's "Die Niederlande" (I think you can see the resemblance), in French it's "Pays-bas" (meaning "low country").Hope that helped a bit. Anything else you'd like to know?
