directed transpermia?
qsI don't remember ever bringing this up, perhaps are mistaken with someone else [/qs]
Sorry. It was Traderdrew
But what were you meaning by your comment about directed transpermia? Who are the 'evolutionists" advocating for directed transpermia?

Facts don't lie or have an agenda. Facts are just facts

Re: directed transpermia?
Reread what I originally said, I never stated anyone advocated for it.
The intention of my question was if Izanagi was including Alien designers when he said: ''science doesn't concern itself with the existence of a designer''
(Besides, wikipedia does say Crick advocated for directed panspermia. Don't know if he did all his life though)

Science would only concern itself with alien designers if and when any evidence for them comes to light. Exactly the same as it would consider a "god" creator, when evidence that suggests it exists and offers a way to test for it is found.

Re: directed transpermia?
Could the same things that lead a theist think God is at the origin of life on earth lead an atheist to think Aliens are at the origin of life on earth ?
For example, if in 100 years it is shown that there are no initial conditions of the earth that could have lead life to originate, would this lead atheist to explore the idea that life could have been the product of aliens ?
Or would you really require evidence such as an actual documented encounter officially recognized as such with aliens to even entertain the idea in your mind that this could be a possibility ?

I am pretty sure that panspermia isn't near the topic of this thread.
Thank you.

Re: directed transpermia?
I can't believe you can come back to this thread and type in yet more nonsense, this time about "aliens" (!!), without even the slightest acknowledgement of my reply (post 48) to this previous balderdash of yours:
What was the exact mutation that produced the resistance ? As an example, for an antibiotic to infect a bacteria, it has to get insdie the cell. This is done by on of the types of transporting protein in the membrane, which usually transports nutriments. So if the antibiotic chemically ressembles nutriment A, then the protein transporting A will also transport the antiobiotic. If, by a mutation, the protein transporter becomes none-functional, then the bacteria will become resistant to the antibiotic, but this will have been done through a loss of a function, that to be able to transport nutriment A in the cell.
Are you a random word generator? Have you no shame?

I already dealt with this on a previous thread.
