I suspect Moose may not have this intention (and I apologize for finding the humor, Moose,...)
I think it must be all in the cat or the pinhead.
...but just his telling it like it is makes me smile.
I presume you're thinking the admin mode. I think I have tended to prefer the "smack 'em with a 2x4" method.
I have vague recollections of occasionally inserting what I deem to be subtle humor into my (non-admin and/or admin mode) messages. I always wonder if anyone notices - I don't recall ever seeing any comments about such.
I certainly would be interested in seeing a quote and/or link of/to what you find to be funny.
Or something like that.

Hi Moose,
I certainly would be interested in seeing a quote and/or link of/to what you find to be funny.
This for starters, your admonishment of the little troll ThreeDogs;
ThreeDogs x TwoDays = SixDogDays
I liked that one. I like your "Or something like that." catchphrase as well. Everyone should have a catchphrase...

Well a lot of your posts make me laugh, but since I'm not sure that's the intent (I'm a little dense that way), I keep my giggling to myself because I'd rather avoid a very public smack down... or suspension for inappropriate/off topic behavior. lol
I certainly would be interested in seeing a quote and/or link of/to what you find to be funny.
Hmmmm... okay... but you asked for it. Be back later.

Re: Ouch!
But like everyone I want to be a rockstar (or "rockstar" comedian!!!!!! - You are livin the dream Oni) really.
I think I'd rather be a musician too, but we don't get to pick the art, the art usually picks us - at least that's been my experience.
It was always my dream to be a comic, but honestly, I've never done something so emotionally draining in my life. Failure in this business is heart breaking. It's such a shitty feeling to have people judge your creative work who've never so much as written a joke, let alone perform, in their lives. I don't like contests, I don't like being judged, but there is no way around it to advance to the mainstream level unless I go that route. The underground circuits are gone. I would like for it to be less about the business and more about the art. But money changes everything.
Any sentance that contains both the words "respect" and "Fosters" is just sooooo wrong in my book.
- Sorry, I'm American. What's your brew of choice?
At the moment my resistance is tellingly and unhealthily high. Yes I could probably even drink with Australians without flinching (in fact I do regularly). But it varies. When I hit the health kick, hit the gym and actually sort myself out as I do every so often my tolerance dramatically and very noticeably drops. But at 37 it is gettin harder and harder to do.
I don't know, my resistance is OK for an American I guess. I do better with straight liquor, vodka is my drink of choice. I can take a bottle down in 4 or 5 hours and still be well (if I ate before drinking). I can't do that with beer though, however I do try to keep up if I'm drinking with guys from your side of the pond. It's like I feel I'm representing my country in a alcoholics contest of some sort. LOL

Anything but Tiger beer. Something about combining formaldehyde and alcohol seems wrong.

One of the saddest lessons of history is this: If we've been bamboozled long enough, we tend to reject any evidence of the bamboozle. We're no longer interested in finding out the truth. The bamboozle has captured us. It is simply too painful to acknowledge -- even to ourselves -- that we've been so credulous. - Carl Sagan, The Fine Art of Baloney Detection

You see, I knew this was your agenda the whole time I've been on this site! I tried to warn others but I was dismissed as a conspiracy theorist.
Lets get drunk and watch those robots fight each other, and take bets on who wins. Are we talking iRobot robots? Or that pussy looking Honda robot that can go up stairs?

BTW, I'm partial to the pinhead, myself.
------
A couple of recent Moose LOL moments for me:
A nice little message about some geologic processes and things geologic column. Alas, a presentation sadly marred by the lack of pretty pictures.
Modulous is carrying a "5" in our current dubious rating system. I think that "5" is bogus, but he may well be closer to deserving it than any other member.
You're feeling pretty good about yourself when Moose starts out and then ka-BLAMMO! You're still an effen' idiot. lol
and then...
Someone rated this message to be a 5.
WRONG WRONG WRONG!

There are too many stinkin' smart people on this forum so I stick to the stuff I know and that's IT. I learned that early on.

I'd like to have gone to Oktoberfest 2009 with Lithodid-man. I see him on BlogTV occasionally and watch all of his youTube vids.
Among so many others here, Dr Adequate always amazes me with his posts; definitely someone very interesting. I especially appreciate the masterful way he can deduce an argument to its core components or more often than not, core fallacies. Rubbing shoulders with you lot is a brush with greatness indeed.

Well in the art selection process I might well be the equivalent of the fat cack handed clumsy kid nobody wants on their sports team at school. Some enthusiastic but talentless stints at drumming and a latent desire to be a writer of some sort are about the extent to which any artform has ever wanted me on it's team.

Oh I'll drink most things but the deeply chemicalised artificially fizzed mass produced lagers of the world would be fairly low down the list. Not that this ever stops me. Pretensions of beer snobbery are all very well but if they get in the way of a good time I take a more pragmatic approach.
I don't know, my resistance is OK for an American I guess. I do better with straight liquor, vodka is my drink of choice. I can take a bottle down in 4 or 5 hours and still be well (if I ate before drinking).
Hard liquor man huh. Tequila is my personal loopy juice. Just cannot handle the stuff at all. My achilles heel (if I am to outrageously and arrogantly equate myself with Achilles even in this rather silly context)
I can't do that with beer though, however I do try to keep up if I'm drinking with guys from your side of the pond. It's like I feel I'm representing my country in a alcoholics contest of some sort. LOL
It is a sad reflection on the male psyche that we feel the need to compete in such ludicrous and self defeating acts of machismo.
Having said that of course should we ever meet up and hit the beers for a night the last man standing wins national honours and the right to eternally mock the other (and his nation) as a girly frilly dress wearing loser
Just don't start on the tequila..............

Yeah, that's pretty bad, man: even I got a mention early on (it was in the middle of a long list, but... I take whatever I can get --- thanks, CS).
But, that's okay: I don't particularly want to meet any of y'all, either...
