Since most who come to this forum are unbelievers in God who created the heavens and the earth, and you reject the God of the Bible, I would like to see these folk answer the following questions:
(1) What kind of God would you be if you could be God?
(2) What kind of cosmos would you have created?

I'd be a god that have no intention of creating you.
(2) What kind of cosmos would you have created?
I'd have created the cosmos without you.
P.S. "You" refers to any person who's religiously inclined.

Good Question Bad Answer
(1) What kind of God would you be if you could be God?
I would like to think I would be a nice god. But power corrupts.........
(2) What kind of cosmos would you have created?
I think the main problem for an eternal omniscient, omnipotent, omnipresent god would be boredom. I would try to create a cosmos that would entertain me.
I would use my omnipresence to experience all that there is to conceivably experience in a desperate bid to entertain myself on those long dark and lonely nights in eternity.

Please take the inquiry seriously. I'm guessing you believe there's an off-topic agenda behind John 10:10's inquiry, but please wait for that to be demonstrated, and then let the moderators handle it. Thanks.

(1) What kind of God would you be if you could be God?
I am unable to conceive of being a god.
(2) What kind of cosmos would you have created?
I am unable to conceive of being able to create a cosmos.
Just think, I'm the atheist. This is part of my problem with religious people and their gods. They think too little of their gods. Their image is of a white haired old geezer that talks to people and messes around with his creation. They fail to grasp how utterly inconceivable a god would be. A god would be far beyond our ability to even imagine.

Yeah, you'd probably be a complete ass of a god: you'd make a universe where immaterial evidence is meaningless.

You could remedy this by creating a pub before you create a universe...

Why not create a dynamic cosmos that would develop on its own, so that you could study it through scientific inquiry? Better yet, create many of them: then there might be enough new things happening to last for awhile.
When that fails, just reinvent yourself as somebody else, and do it all over again from your new point of view.

I may be an ass but I pride myself on my sense of irony. Immaterial evidence would absolutely rule in MY universe!! The rational would be irrational in my "kingdom". Just to keep me amused and to wipe the smug grins off those friggin all too confident atheists.
You could remedy this by creating a pub before you create a universe...
Or even The Universe as one giant pub.... Ahhhh bliss!

If you were God, what kind of God would you be?
So far, just as I expected, one personal attack and no serious answers.
Would anyone like to take the inquiry seriously, or are the questions too difficult to give some serious thought to?

Since most who come to this forum are unbelievers in God who created the heavens and the earth, and you reject the God of the Bible, I would like to see these folk answer the following questions:
(1) What kind of God would you be if you could be God?
None since I reject the concept of gods or other supernatural entities
(2) What kind of cosmos would you have created?
Irrelevant since the concept of creation would need a creator for which see answer to question (1)

Re: If you were God, what kind of God would you be?
Hi, John 10:10.
John writes:

John, this question is an integral part of my religion, and it's a very private matter, so I won't be commenting heavily on it.
But, my question to you is what you expect people to respond with?
Do you want people to provide their treatises on what they think are the appropriate policies for a God to live by? That will only turn into a generic political debate about the comparative sensibility of the liberal/conservative ideologies, and your original question will just become lost in the mix.
Or, do you want people to discuss the cool things they would do if they had super-powers? I don't think that I, personally, even have the capacity to take that topic seriously; and, even if I did take it seriously, it sure wouldn't sound like it to you. For example, I like spiders, so, if I were a creator-God, I would like to design biospheres that have megafauna (i.e. big animals) with many legs that hang upside-down from tree limbs. Does it sound to you like I'm being serious? Well, I am. Honestly.
That's why Phage says the question isn't worth the thought you're asking people to put into it: it has no bounds, so it can be as wacky as anyone who participates wants it to be.
-----
Maybe if you started out for us, you could set the tone a little better?
So, if you were God, what kind of God would you be?
Edited by Bluejay, : Minor tweaking.

Why was my answer not serious? Because it does not fit what you wanted. If you ask a question like that you have to expect a few things. One is ridicule, the other is answers that you yourself do not accept or expect.
This again shows that your worldview is a very confined and rare worldview. If you want a serious discussion ask a serious question.

Apparently, he did expect these answers. He doesn't seem to like them though. Makes you wonder why he would ask this question when he knew what answers he'd be getting and knew he wouldn't like them.

Why isn't his question serious? It strikes me as such.
The classic atheist position is "belief that there is no god." Since this is a "faith" position, it does not sit well with some atheists. The atheist position that is touted by some on EvC forum is lack of belief in any god, in particular those who have been proposed by major religions, with the possibility that a different god may exist.
So the question of the OP seems reasonable for this sort of atheist. What sort of god could exist in your opinion? What would he/she/it be like?
