what do you class as agriculture? the aboriginals were hunter gatherers
If they didn't grow their own food then they didn't practice agriculture.

So you're not going to substantiate your claim:
the bush provided more then they needed

they didnt need to practice agriculture because the land produced enough food for them..australia is a huge place
The issue isn't wether or not the enviroment of Australia allowed to aboriginal peoples to survive (cause they clearly have), it's what population growth rates could the aborignal peoples acheive in Australia's enviroment.

like i said, Tasmania itself has grown to 1/2 million in a little over 200 years
And how many of those 1/2 million are aboriginals? How many are the descendants of immigrants who used technology to overcome the enviroment?
If you're going to argue that the aboriginal peoples can't have been in australia for 40k+ years because their population is too small then you should be prepared to show what their population growth rate was and how they managed to achieve that.
