If Adam mated with others of the preAdamic population, there would be a fifty percent chance that his offspring would be heterozygous and consequently would not have free will, while having a spirit.
I see some unwarranted assumptions here. On average fifty percent of Adams offspring would have inherited such traits from Adam assuming that being inherited was even the mechanism for having free will and a spirit. What if free will was a developmental trait. What if a spiritual came from communing with God?
