Anglagard, I try to post stuff I can support. It's all out there for you or Taz to refute if you think you can. I responded to Taz in a congenial manner and can't figure out what I said to antagonize him. Then you come on and say yah, me to.So far as engaging you in physics, I know my limits and have learned to try and stay within them. There have been times when I've got into some aspects of physics. They're in the archives if you care to find them.As for the host, you'd need to be in the shoes of the minority POV as I've been for years here to fully understand how that works. Now that the playing field has evened a tad, you haven't cited specifically why you're shutting down. I thought maybe you and Taz feel a little wheezy without four or five supporters backing up your arguments. If that isn't it, just what is your problem?Btw, I sincerely would miss you as I will others like IceAge, Nem, NWR and now perhaps Taz, etc. That's why I'm trying to get at the bottom of your and Taz's problems being it was I and ICant who Taz cited.

First, I'm not shutting down myself, just taking things a bit easier.Second, I don't need a bunch of backers on any given board for support as IMO I pretty much have science and history on my side. Of course I am sure there are those who disagree who feel the same way, so let the best argument win.My problem, which I think is somewhat shared with Taz, is that I am taking this forum too seriously on an emotional level and need to back away a bit to gain some perspective. I can't exactly speak for Taz but in my case I would like to make any future posts less emotional and more substantive, like RAZD does, even if it means less participation.You do not have to worry about me voluntarily dropping out. I still read most all your posts and will respond as I feel is appropriate. This is just my clumsy way of letting you know not to get too cocky just yet.

Anglagard already provided the exactly correct response, but it deserves emphasis. The playing field hasn't evened, not even a tad. The issues are not decided by which side has the most supporters but by which side is supported by the evidence. The creation/ID side has no evidence, so the strength of its scientific position would not be improved one iota if every evolutionist were to drop dead tomorrow. Facts are stubborn things.I feel precisely the same as Anglagard. When I go to a new board I don't look for supporters, I look for evidence for my position. Ok, the last several days have been a real help for my well being. I'm somewhat calm now. When you said "the man remains a man after he walked a thousand miles" or something like that in response to my walking analogy. This is taking my analogy out of context. Here, let me spell it out for you.Walking = A
Distance = B
Change in allele frequency (micro-evolution) = C
Speciation = DA is analogous to C
B is analogous to DIn other words, A resides with B and C resides with D. Wow, I just checked Fred Phelps wikipedia entry and he sure is a nut and a psychopath. What a shame he claims he is Christian I think you can bring him and his supporters down by just having some Bible quotes on banners like "You shall love your neighbor as yourself" or "Jesus came to save the sinners not the righteous like you Fred Phelps" or something in those lines.Or "Fred Phelps projects onto others who he really is, and he hates that!" LOL i don't really know him but haters usually projects on others how they feel about themselves.

Hi Percy. My remarks about leveling the "playing field" had more to do with numbers of players on the field relative to teams than evidence. There's your problem right there. You should have been drinking alcohol.Don't worry taz, many people feel the same about you too.
But take heart, EVC has changed me. I've learned to put up with people's crap, and their incorrect ways of going about things, while also learning about truth when studying what people say to see if it is true or not.In other words, EVC has defined my faith, pointed out the creation science is BS. I believe by faith, through subjective evidence, and that is fine with me. I think that is how God wants it.
EVC has made me more sensitive to what I say to people, and how I should approach people when talking about God, if I am going to talk at all about it.Watching the behaviors, and hypocrisies of most people here on this forum, has only increased my faith. The emotions of the so called logical ones. The ignorance of the come and go believers. The prejudices. I am so amazed that in all facets of life where there is a division of beliefs that people cannot "just get along" anyway. It's like we are not happy unless we have something to fight about. It happens in politics, sports, faith, etc. I want no part of it. It really doesn't bother me what you think or like, just don't tell me what to like, and don't force your views on me in such a way that it starts to affect how I live.If you can't just walk away and be alright, then maybe you should question yourself as to why you feel that way. Maybe ask God why you do. don't be debating in here, then get frustrated, then go beat your wife. In the end it's not worth it, and you will probably lose your ability to get a hard-on.
