Please promote Faith's latest Proposed Topic
I think Faith's proposed topic is a great initial post to allow the many lurkers out there to learn a little about why landscapes of the various periods of time shown in geology are not simply assumptions but rather just like everything else in reality conclusions based on solid evidence as opposed to the caricature fantasy of the Biblical Flood she presents.

A Vote against promoting jar's topic of YE dating
I don't want to engage in a Great Debate with jar on this subject. As you say in your first post to his proposal, there is really nothing more to say than that YE is based on the Biblical framework.

Faith's PNT regarding GMOs
As for GMOs I've been considering putting together a Coffee House OP on it as Nosy suggested, but I think I'd have to know more about Ayyadurai's study to do that. Faith, I would like to see you promote this topic about formaldehyde accumulation in GMOs, I think it could be very informative. It will also tie into the topic about peer-review (although not necessarily Einstein's position). Here: Do GMOs Accumulate Formaldehyde is the link to the actual paper which should be the basis for any discussion of the topic, since that is where these findings were published and what any discussion by Dr. Ayyadurai should be based on (unless there is follow-up work which would be good to bring to the table as well). You should probably take your time and do your homework before promoting it and have some good arguments as to why you believe this is a convincing study. This topic could possible go into 'Is it Science' as an option to 'Coffee House' HBD Edited by herebedragons, : No reason given.

Low enough to let the creationists play. The bar should be set to forestall a Gish Gallop in proposals while having rather spotty participation in 7 more. So not THAT low. There is no bar to creationist participation. Just attempts at disruptive tactics. Before Davidjay's latest epistle gets promoted can someone get him to at least tell us what he thinks "laws of the Universe, laws of Nature, Laws of Physics, just happened, and were always present magically somehow someway, starting from their so called INNATE PROPERTIES in the Beginning" means?
