no more funny links
I assume that we aren't supposed to post funny links, just for kicks in the coffee house. (I probably should read the board rules more closely )
I'll refrain from doing so in the future.

{This message is in reference to Vicious god quiz and other hilarities!. There I said that the topic should have gone to the "Links and Information" forum, or perhaps the "Proposed New Topics" forum. Upon further thought, the message probably should have gone to some already existing topic, be it "L&I" or perhaps one of the existing "Coffee House" humor topics. As it is a pretty minor item, being a new topic is just adding clutter. - Adminnemooseus}

Re: no more funny links
Thanks moose and NWR. I'll stick to the humor threads in the future.
I figured you guys weren't totally against some comedy!

Suggestion for Buzsaw
Buzsaw, I have to say I've been impressed by your moderation so far.
I have a small suggestion: I find it very useful when the admins include the admin thread links in their signatures. It makes it very easy to jump to the appropriate thread if one wishes to respond to the admin action. I think it really helps keep responses to admins in the appropriate place.
One more thing, I'll try to be a little more gentle in my chiding of Randman. I may be in the minority, but I do find his posts interesting on philosophical subjects even if I disagree with him. I am trying to dissuade him gently from spending so much time attacking the biases/belief/etc. of scientists (at least it's a huge waste of time, IMO). I think if we could just get Randman to ease up on the conspiracy theory stuff it would greatly improve the board.
Keep up the great work as an admin. I hope this doesn't sound condescending (because it isn't meant to be, and I certainly don't claim to be a quality poster).... but I think your admin status has also improved the quality of your non-admin posts.
Cheers

Re: Take a break Ray
You know better than to call a member a liar. Particularly another Fundamentalist just like you and Gene Scott. Or is this just another of your ploys in the hopes we'd forget that paper you promised us in April?
Is this goint to impact Ray's boycott?
And ray, I am eagerly awaiting your paper
This thread is discuss moderator procedures, not to debate, particularly with someone who isn't here.

Re: Christian State Response to Crash
There is a difference between analyzing the relationship of Christianity and the state in history and trying to correct Faith's view of history.
I understand using history to support your view of a Christian State today, but I don't want the thread to melt into a debate with Faith on whose history is right.
See the difference?
PD, I apologize for derailing the thread... but at the same time it is tiring to see Faith spout nonsense over and over without challenging it. Calling liberals "america haters" and scientists "idiots".... spreading ridiculously false views of history, science, etc. I think it's only fair that we call her on it and make her back up her views with evidence.
Then again, I should probably just ignore the garbage and not derail threads. It would be nice if Faith could debate a subject using facts and evidence instead of simply pronouncing wide-ranging slurs against all who don't agree with her.
I'll try to hold back in the future (what can I say, I correct people when they say "That went good" "That went WELL!!!!"
hehehe
edit: I will just ignore comments in the future and at worse post a quick correction and let it drop there. Again, I do apologize for derailing threads regardless of intent.

Re: .|.. ^.^ ..|.
And I didn't boast either. Faith was accusing scientists of being idiots (yes, the irony) and I simply stated that I shouldn't have attended a world class university where this idiots are teaching.
This is boastful?
Don't think so.

Hiding posts
I just wanted to comment that I think the somewhat "new" practice of hiding off-topic posts seems to be working quite well. I freely admit that when the sniping starts I (like many others) always want to have the last word.
I think hiding the off-topic posts works quite well to defuse the personal exchanges.
