I'm sure everyone is aware of the fine job Moose has done since becoming a moderator here. As participation here has grown a single moderator wasn't able to monitor all the threads, and Moose's contribution has proved invaluable. I had no idea how big an impact he would make when he first expressed an interest in helping out. But the site is still growing, and even though our members have made the moderating job pretty easy, even two moderators are finding it difficult to keep up.
And so I'm now very pleased to announce that Tranquility Base has just joined the moderating team. In his moderator role he'll be using the user ID Adminaquility.
This is very welcome news on two counts. First, TB has demonstrated the even temperament required for dealing with controversial topics. And second, TB approaches the topic from a Creationist perspective, bringing board moderation more into balance and reducing the likelihood of biased treatment of any member or topic.
Please, everyone, give Adminaquility a warm welcome!
Welcome aboard, Adminaquility!

Who?
Congrats, TB, couldn't happen to a nicer guy.
Good choice, Percy. Of course, if you REALLY wanted a rabid, carpet-chewing creationist to balance out the board - say as a counter to rampant rationality - you should have picked WS. TB isn't irrational enough.

Isn't that like the fox guarding the henhouse in regards to TB?

deleted due to duplicatio
[This message has been edited by Mammuthus, 10-22-2002]
Just a note from Adminnemooseus - I LIKE HOW MAMMY HAS HANDLED DEALING WITH A DUPLICATE MESSAGE. THIS LEAVES A DOCUMENTATION OF WHO POSTED THE MESSAGE, WHO DELETED THE MESSAGE, AND AVOIDS LEAVING AN UGLY GAP IN THE MESSAGE NUMBER SEQUENCE. In the past, I have deleted duplicate messages entirely, with an explanation at the message that was duplicated. I now suggest that all (admins and non-admins) adopt the Mamster's methodology. Perhaps the big admin guy could go so far, as to disable the "message delete" function?
IT WOULD ALSO BE NICE, IF THE POSTER OF THE DUPLICATE MESSAGE, WOULD BE ALSO THE ONE DELETING THE MESSAGE. That would avoid any image of possible administrator meddling with a valid message.

One or two posts perhaps overexpressed their enthusiasm for TB's accepting a moderator role by taking unprovoked swipes at another member. Could I request that the owners of these posts edit them to tone them down just a bit? Thanks!

I suspect that giving TB "admin" status is just a devious attempt to "boot him upstairs", in the hope that the load of his new duties will slow down his postings of pro-creationism messages.
Moose
ps: Now he can fix my HTML errors. Ad-moron-mooseus doesn't seem to be up to the job.

quantitatively, AQ you will not get TB if you have a break from the Julia Set ArBee and pass the unleavened. Maybe we'll WILL be able to talk about quality zwitter ions that do not wander from galaxy to nebula etc. The icons thank you.
