AdminPhat (aka Phatboy) has joined the staff. He, like the recently added AdminJazzlover and AdminIRH, has administrator status, and thus has forum wide moderating powers.Maybe after he succedes in putting some order into the "Private Admin Forum", he might be permitted to make an appearance before the general public. Thanks, everyone! I have a bit of book larn'n to do before I attempt to admin anything! Gimme a few weeks and I'll be back! Till then, my humble alter ego Phatboy will try and improve HIS communication skills!

One thing I try to do, but don't always succeed at is to pick being an admin first and leave posts for others to jump on. Generally I might leave a delicious post that I'd like to counter for an hour or 4 to see if everyone else will say what I might have.One thing I find hard is that the threads I'm not interested in I don't follow closely enough to do a good job of admining. The ones I am interested in I get to involved in non-admin mode to be able to look fair if I start admining. That part is tricky for me.I suggest than if you start having trouble with the keeping both modes separate you ask another admin to do the dirty work for you. I would hope that they would be harder on you than anyone esle .

Hello everyone!It is with great pleasure that I announce a new addition to the moderator team: AdminPhat. Phat has performed a valuable service in the moderator role in the past and brings some solid experience to the job. Everyone please give him a warm welcome.I'm trying an experiment: AdminPhat will be assigned to the Faith and Belief forum. EvC Forum has not in the past assigned moderators to specific forums, but we've had some recent episodes of moderator collision where two moderators begin moderating the same thread, and this should help reduce such episodes. If it appears to be working then I'll expand the experiment.Welcome, AdminPhat!
