Re: I like this chord
really, really close.
the lute devoloped into the greek bouzouki. that bouzouki developed into the irish bouzouki--only in name it is, which is a shame.
the difference is that the greek has a bowl back, the irish has a flat back. another difference is tuning, but that can be adjusted. as it stands, mine is in mandolin tuning, GDAE, but others, such as GDAD, DGBE, and original greek tunings could be used. but for ease of learning, I keep it as GDAE.
and I fixed my avatar, it seems.

Re: I like this chord
I take it you know the instrument, then?
hint--it's not a mandolin.
I would say a Lyre...??? I'm not even sure if that's how its spelled. Anyway, whatever instrument used to play that Old English Barroque music.

You spoiled all the fun
Note, I like to use 2^2
because when it is just copied and pasted (without using peek mode) yours comes out 22 and mine comes out 2^2 ...
That way you can show off and still maintain content
Aw, well now I can't very well do that now that I know your trade secrets.

but pagenation is controlled by the users profile. Pointing things out as you did may work for you but not others. Use peek to see how I referenced the message regardless of how the person has their profile set.

So, its not a lyre or lute, its a bouzoukai? I've never heard of it, although if it sounds anything like a lyre or a lute I'm sure the sound is gorgeous.

Re: I like this chord
Greek Bouzouki
It's not what I play, but it sounds similar--and I'm nowhere near as good as the dude in the preview parts is--but getting there.
