Pogo, I thought I was the only one who regretted having Stuart Kauffman hook up my VCR. ------------------ En la tierra de ciegos, el tuerto es el Rey.

Thanks! Earthrise has always been one of my favorite Apollo mission pictures. The Avatar size doesn't do it justice though.

@#$#$%^#%%!!! I hit the back button and it reposted my message and I can't delete my own messages. By the way the header on the posting page says both that the poster can delete a message and then says only forum leaders may delete posts! This should be changed to indicate that only forum leaders can delete posts. Thank you. [This message has been edited by kjsimons, 08-14-2003]

Hmmm.....
Thanks for the tip Percy, if you click on the pic it is an obscene wiring problem. We get callers at our Helpdesk that swear there is this many wires, cables and cords in back of their respective PC's. Well, it turns out, this guy wasn't wrong. In fact, if this is true, he grossly understated the problem...D'oh! But if you look closly, it appears that it is a sound studio, filled with multiplying patch cables. Very nice job to clean up. Re: Hmmm.....
Impressive! And there's actually a droplight hanging off one of the wire bundles. The picture doesn't blow up well - did you adjust the resolution yourself? If so, email me the original and I might be able to get the space required down below legal for an avatar while maintaining detail. --Percy

Re: Test
An impressive graphic, I've added it to my files, but a real slow loader and big shoes to fill if this is to be your avatar! Reminds me of my favorite battle cry: Your God Is My God's Little Boy.

Re: Test
hehe, small indeed. I'm glad you liked the pic. I had to cut it down even. As far as this picture is concerned it is, for me, one of the most awe inspiring pictures in astronomy. Realizing that this is just an incredibly small portion of the night sky just floors me, and is definitly humbling. Probably the closest I'll get to a religious sense of the "numinous". I'm afraid the best I could do to "live up to" this is to show it around.

How??
Okay, how do you do these "avatars"? If there is a section on this board that explains it, feel free to just direct me to that section. Thanks! Melissa

Click on the tiny Profile link that's at the top of most pages, then scroll to the bottom. --Percy PS - I'm guessing the avatar will be a cat?
