I can't for the life of me figure out how to quote somebody directly. Can someone help me? ------------------ "You can never go wrong in underestimating the intelligence of the American public" -Mark Twain

Thanks, but how do I make one of those little blue boxes? When I tried to post it said I was not authorized to perform that type of function.

Don't post, just copy the text codes that you can see in the message to be edited. The blue box is something along the lines of a at the start of the text to quote and a at the end, I think.... Post a new message using the codes in this "Practice makes perfect" forum to see if you've got it...there are also help files available from the home page, but this little "edit" trick is probably faster. Whoops!
I guess I was right... Around block of text is "qs" in brackets at the beginning and a "/qs" in brackets at the end. [This message has been edited by Zhimbo, 12-08-2003]

Checking up
You might want to use the preview button too to check that you got it right. You can always edit if you didn't but it is nice to look like you got it right the first time.

Re: Checking up
I'd estimate that 60-70% of my posts have at least one "edited" note at the end...heck, I'm 2 for 2 on this thread. It remains to be seen how this particular post will end up...

Did you get it to work, Ninja? If you're not sure, try something for test and somebody can tell you what you need to do if it isn't right.
