Now, I know what "SWAT" stands for...but what on earth is "TSOLPP"?
That was also the name of the song.
TSOLPP was the name of the song? Are you sure? Here's a link to the S.W.A.T soundtrack CD, and there's nothing like that there. Do one of the titles listed (scroll down to see list) sound like the right one?

Yes. I read credits (since I know a few people in the biz and like to know what music is used) and I specifically looked for the song, since it was playing on the closing credits and I couldn't figure out what they hell they were talking about (modern singers often having so much trouble with diction). While it's been a while and I no longer remember the full title, the acronym was included...but didn't indicate what it stood for.

Yes,especially rappers. I recall an old track by BDP (Boogie Down Productions) in which an extremely talented rapper called KRS-ONE imitated their mumbling ways. "You're cupping the mic on stage!" he cried, in a muffled voice. Of course, he spoke of these ills back in 1991 or 1992, but they still apply.

That's not Finnegans Wake again, is it?

I would point out that the days when a movie soundtrack album actually contained songs from the movie are largely over. Nowadays it's more like "soundtrack of songs inspiried by the movie" or something.

No, it wasn't Finnegan's Wake. Actually, it was one of the rarest languages in the world.
