technically not true--what they did will cost them their lives, whether they rot away in jail or get executed. In this way, they commited suicide. Just a really long, slow, suicide, w/o the intent to get to heaven by the fast track plan.

what!?
If you wanna go that deep. Being born costs you your life so nobody can commit suicide as its already begun.
I'm pretty sure a suicide bomber is a specific description. Not all terrorists are suicide bombers, but suicide bombers are terrorists.

actually, we can't commit suicide by being born because suicide implies a will to die. All of us were forced into this world.
being a terrorist, and getting caught, is paramount to suicide--your life is over, and you chose to be the terrorist. some just get to that point faster (with the bomb attached to them, instead of remote detonation or a timed detonation.
your last point is valid, though.

but did they choose to get caught? Perhaps they thought they would get away with it and had no will to die.

if they didn't think they would get caught, or that there was the risk of getting caught, they must be pretty naive.
Part of being a terrorist, just like part of being any other type of criminal, is the risk of being caught. By extension then, if you choose to do something that carries life in prison (your life is over at this point, even though you are alive) or the death penalty, you are commiting suicide.

I totally disagree but don't care enough to continue. Plus, we're OT.

You didn't say "suicide bomber".
You said "terrorist".

Or, since we can't elimate all injustice and torture, why try to reduce it's occurence at all?
I'd think you'd agree with kuresu's argument.

The costume is a suicide bomber. A suicide bomber is a terrorist. You offered suggestions to the costume by posting images of a different type of terrorist, that look much different than the costume. Those suggestions are not applicable because they are not included in the specific type of terrorists the costume portrays.
But thanks anyways.

Topicality
I've just gone for the standard 'scary monster' costume.
