I like playing Clerics too. The D&D gods seem much more internally concistant than the bunch we have to put up with in reality.

We'll have to wait for the returning of the Third Caine, but I don't doubt that Ialdabaoth will get his ass kicked. Some secrets, however, are only for the initiates.

Maybe I should write a book about my own induction into unholy cultism through roleplaying, I think I'll call it 'How I learned to stop worrying and venerate the black goat of the woods with a thousand young, iaah, iaah, Shub-Niggurath, ftaghn!!!'
TTFN,
WK

Personally, I prefer "The Glibbering and the Meeping... my time as a Ghoul"
There's something slightly concerning that so many of us seem to have an extensive (non-computer) RPG background... what's the demographic here? Sad nerds? Autistic/Asperger's tendancies? Elevated IQs?
Edited by cavediver, : No reason given.

I like to think we are people who read about magic and supernatural things (giants, and serpents and demons) and said
"Hey that looks cool! I'd like to play a game based on all that stuff. I've always like pretending I'm a sturdy warrior or crafty wizard"
Rather than.
"Hey! I reckon all the stories of supernatural events and character is 100% true and I going to believe it is so inspite of ZERO coroborating evidence to the contrary."
I'm off to play Dark Sun 3.5!
