Re: Dear Leader
Seriously? No one noticed the death of the living god himself?
Well, the PGA is lamenting the loss of the greatest golfing talent to ever walk the face of the earth.
Seriously though, I think a lot of people are worried about who comes next. Perhaps we should all be a little concerned.
From CNN
quote:
But Kim Jong Un is simply "not ready" to rule, said Victor Cha, senior adviser at the Center for Strategic and International Studies and an expert on North Korea.
"This is the most opaque regime that is a nuclear weapons state, and now they have a leadership vacuum in which a kid is basically trying to run the country," Cha said. "So it's not a good situation at all."

Re: Dear Leader
What!? CNN made a mistake?
OK. How about North Korean State television for credibility.

Re: So long Ernie
Great movie, The Wild Bunch,
One of my favorites mostly because of Peckinpaw's work rather than Borgnine's.
Ernest was always so believable to me though. It never seemed like he was acting.

Re: Click... Or maybe Clack
That is sad...almost as bad as getting a check engine light. Oh well, I guess that I will put a little electrical tape over that pain and ignore it until it goes away.
It astounds me how strongly I can feel the loss of someone that I have never met. I had the same thing for Robin Williams. Just sad.

Re: Click... Or maybe Clack
I have to keep checking this thread to see if I'm dead yet - and if I'm great enough for anybody to notice.
Yeah I don't know if you will ever show up here. You would likely have to announce it yourself and that may be problematic. I suppose that we could start an 'also ran' thread.
Of course if you keep coming back as zombie ringo then we might have to disqualify you.

Did you talk to him much? What did he have to say?

A profound loss.

Re: Another theory nobody wants to touch with a hundred foot pole
I suppose it could have been deliberate. God knows that there are plenty of reasons to be disgruntled with the Catholics but Notre Dame is not one of them. If it was deliberate we can be sure that a religious zealot was involved.

Re: Notre Dame
They'll build it back,
I had the same thought and it is not a total loss but tragic nonetheless. Kind of like that Greek dudes ship with the repaired planks and nothing is really what it was yesterday anyway except maybe things like an indomitable spirit.
