Tribute Thread for the Recently Passed Greats

Thanks MinnemooseusAs someone who saw him 'debate', I thought I'd write something good about him.I could think of: well, he lived to a ripe old age.Nothing else came up. So, I'd rather not write anything else.

Don't always believe all the hype.He did a lot of bad (endorsed an armed struggle involving planting bombs in restaurants; land mines on farm roads and/or at shopping malls, etc.) ; he became a better man and then something resembling a Saint as he aged. Who can't remember that wonderful day at Ellis Park when we won the Rugby World Cup and Madiba lifted that trophy?In his older days, he and FW got the nation together. He couldn't have done it without FW. FW couldn't have done it witout him. FW is just as much of a hero. I remember being bombarded with those tracts everywhere as a young teenager, even though I just had a basic misunderstanding of English... I used to laugh at the name, though. I knew what jacked chick meant!Just a moment...Edited by Pressie, : No reason given.
