What happened at talk origins?

Just read Terry's parting shots at Percy. Is that OUR Percy? I have already seen what a pompous ass the preacher can be. I'm already on probation over there. Too much freedom I guess, here and at Christian versus Atheist club, got me spoiled.I'm not fond of ol' Mother Hen, but curious why he has such a bad attitude toward our illustrious leader. It's probably all in a post I missed, newcomer that I am.You're not hiding something from us are you boss?

Yep, that was me! As to the reason I was banned, it's all there at Terry's MSN community for anyone to read. You must have read back quite a ways, 'cause that happened a while back. He's not still talking about me, is he?Right after I was banned I asked Larry to post a short note for me, and Terry assumed Larry was an alias for me and banned him, too. So I got Terry's email address and sent him this message:

Larry and I are two different people. He and Gene joined at the same time a few weeks ago because I posted a message at my club that you were trying to get a C/E discussion going over at MSN. Larry said he already knew you from usenet discussions, so when you banned me I asked Larry to post a short note for me. When that didn't get a positive reaction I asked him if he had your email, and he pointed me at your webpage which had your email address.

Anyway, in the interests of fairness, or at a minimum just of accuracy, please correct the impression you have created in your post in the "One last post for Percy" thread that anyone was engaging in underhanded behavior. And since I can no longer respond to your criticisms because of your censorship, it is against the interests of fair play and simple decency to continue to further criticize me in threads at your community.

I have often made the comment in posts at my club (where after over two years of operation no one's ever been banned, by the way) that it isn't fair that I'm both judge and participant, and I've mentioned several times that I'm actively looking for a Creationist co-moderator. The guidelines should probably mention my co-moderator search, and I'll update them as soon as I get a chance. At one point I thought David McQueen (at one time on staff at ICR) was a possibility, but his participation level has been too spotty, posting only once a month or so.

While he did delete the thread where he had been casting aspersions my way, he never retracted his accusation that I had been participating as two IDs, and he blocked me from his email, too.If you don't think it would put you in danger of banning, why don't you post a general invite to the EvC Forum at Terry's club. Well, I left on my own, but am proud to have left along with debators whose style I look up to.I did as Larry suggested and played nicely. He jumped, exactly as predicted.

Seems Terry has accepted my apology for jumping on his case. Perhaps my mention of having been a Sunday School teacher helped to establish a sense of cameraderie. I doubt he knows what he's in for, and it will be a couple of days before he gets the first real taste of it, but for now he has referred to me as, "my friend." Do you suppose that is a good sign? Not that I care, except as it allows me to do my thing there.PS. I have found no evidence of Percy's, or Larry's work. Is it perhaps buried in a topical section? If so, where might I look?

I only posted twice--I find MSN communities hard to follow. The second was Percy's post and Terry acted exactly as his past behavior suggested. We could start a pool for how long it takes him to ban Canon. Not to kick a guy while he is absent, butFunny, when he used to come into talk.origins I always imagined him being one of the rather odd preachers who go to the quads of public universities and preach at the top of their lungs about the evils of...well...everything.

Has anyone been following the Biblical Creation posts at Talk Origins? I'm afraid I seriously overestimated my opponent. Seems he underestimated me. I suspect however that he will be slow to admit that. Who knows, there may be an honest bone in his body somewhere.On the other hand, from what I read of Percy's exchange with him, there seems to be little hope of that. I think he really doesn't see his ignorance re: science. Wonder if he will see his ignorance re: Bible? Anyone care to lay odds.?I saw a post today at Create Evolve. Guys asks why God would create something useless, such as male breasts. Has anyone tried to go on the offensive with this? Seems to be a lot of defensive stuff going on. Is it time to turn the tables, or would the party just suddenly end?

It's not much fun for me over there since I can't post.I added a few new features Saturday, and I think one of them has a bug. Hey Percy,I just tried to preview a message and got a blank window. I closed the blank window and got the preview pane. I clicked on "close this window" and sure enough it closed. Shut me out of Yahoo, and lost the original post as well.Just thought you might like to know.

Hello everyone,Don't know if you were following the Biblical Creationism posts at Talk Origins (with Terry) but thought you might like to know how it went. I was posting under the alias anudei.As of Terry's last post in that thread I was unable to post anything anywhere, including new threads. After a few days trying to get a word in, I gave up and left the place. Please tell me, if you know: Was it just me, or was I actually being cut off?I must report that the subject of biblical reality regarding ancient ideas of the universe is not a popular discussion with either camp in this debate. I sense that it is an important one, however, for it underlies the entire construction of the creationist axe. Please tell me that I am not wasting my time attempting to draw attention to the fundamental assumptions erroneously drawn from this wonderful old text.------------------
