What defines "deliberate"? If I know "cat" is spelled with a "c" but I spell it with a "k" is that more annoying to you if I do it because I'm stupid? How would you distinguish intentional errors from unintentional errors to know whether you should be annoyed or not? Is nonchalance a disability that you are willing to accommodate? Thankyou, my point entirely. I prefer to be nonchalant when I encounter incorrect spelling. If the author is being nonchalant, I cannot know. I assess the author by the content, not by the spelling. regards

When it is deliberate, like yours, I would get pissed off . This does not sound nonchalant. Is it intentional if the error prone person does not bother to correct his errors reasoning that the audience can decipher it if need be? I find that little different from being told to "go screw". Are you nonchalant about telling people to "go screw"? Kindly There is a spider by the water pipe.

Are you nonchalant about telling people to "go screw"? Larni deliberately sabotaged his spellings and deliberately made them difficult to decipher to make a point. The average poster, including Larni and myself, make typo erroes and occasionally mis-spell words. It doesn't take anything away from the content. Normally, you cannot judge if it's done deliberately, accidently, sloppily, careless or whatever. My point is that it does not matter if the words are recognisable and in context. Some posters sprout a load of crap beautifully spelled e.g the last sentence of your post. That doesn't make sense at all and has no bearing on the discussion. Now that is a judgment

(I'm above common errors myself. All variation from standard English in my posts is entirely intentional. They make me more likable*)

Then you do not agree that “recognisable” [sic] by the reader is not to be left to the judgment of the writer?

Some posters sprout a load of crap beautifully spelled e.g the last sentence of your post. The first is a statement of what “I find”, and the second is interrogatory. How can either be “a load of crap”? (Though it does satisfy the interrogatory.)
That doesn't make sense at all and has no bearing on the discussion. Your right, I forgot . this discussion is about errors that don't matter. *Note the failure to conclude this sentence with a period. Chicks dig that. Whatever you mean it isn't good written communication. Perhaps 'load of crap' was a bit much. I aplogise.

I'm prig enough to agree that idiom is also problematic. But I'll not get up into your grill, home slice.

Well, the way I see it, intelligence and wisdom are two different things.
Intelligence is simply how much information a person has in their heads.- Wisdom is how that person uses that information(Also known as IQ) I value wisdom over intelligence, because it takes a thinker to be wise and not just intelligent. A person could know everything in the universe, but if they don't know WHY 2+2=4, they're no better than a person that knows nothing except why 2+2=4.

An intelligent man knows all. A wise man knows best.
