oh all right
this
is not me (though there have been times when I felt like this)
I am on the left, with my son on the right
before embarking on a "century" ride (100 miles in one day)
we looked a little different at the end. (go Lance!)

Re: oh all right
Heh.
Understandable, previous screen name is AbbyLeever, a hold-over from another CvsE board (netscape) as a pun on several levels. This is part of the reason I changed to razd. On the other board it was fun sometimes to misdirect people a bit (especially if they are misogynistic).

new pics
my previous pictures have been removed from the website they were on, so I guess it is time to update anyway.

Here is my "Ned Smile" picture: . . . and this is my "other smile" picture:

You will notice the resemblance of the second to my avatar.
enjoy.
(you may need to refresh or right click on the blank picture and pick "show picture" to see them due to netscape site problems)

I have it on loan.
imagine what my "smile" was like when I cut my moustache with a droop at each end? (and yes that first one really is smiling, so I know whereof you speak)

HEY: does anyone else notice that the real left hand from the picture (barely visible below schwubbies elbow) is wearing a black leather glove?
is this (1) Dr Strangelove? or (2) the real killer of Mrs Simpson?
LOL!!!

quick and easy alternative?
one quick and easy way is to load it as your avatar (clicking on it would make the full size available)
then either jar or percy or lam could store it and free up your avatar to return to your old (or in lams case, ever evolving) version.
(or the even older one with the horse schraf?)

Re: quick and easy alternative?
a saucy one eh? nice pic - is that from one of the shows?
I took riding for a year in high school at a local stable. one day they put me on a 15 hand dappled gray stallion who took one look at me snorted his bit into his teeth and was three farms away before he slowed down (with me still on top and a plethora of school people in hot pursuit -- we were jumping real fences not the knock down ones, and things could have gotten ugly). for some reason they wouldn't let me ride that horse again.

Re: quick and easy alternative?
Never got the chance. My parents pulled me from the class (they had not been big fans before, and were completely unimpressed with the fact that I had stayed on ...). I was coming out of my "gene autry" phase anyway ...

Re: quick and easy alternative?
Nope, not scared. Healthy respect. (it was actually rather exhilarating and a memorable experience). I have been riding since (I even remembered how to post), just without the added thrill factor.
It seems that a lot of areas are heading for more regulation and standards of behavior. Not sure it is a good thing. Allowing kids (and adults) to fail is also crucial to their learning. A school that does not fail students that fail to learn does not teach.
